Treats for Troops candy collection starts Nov. 1

Wondering what to do with the abundance of Halloween candy collected this year?

The Oakland County Sheriff's Office is once again collection candy to send to troops overseas as a thank you and encouragement. Families are also encouraged to write thank you or holiday notes to send with their sweets.

If you'd like to participate, candy will be collected from Tuesday, November 1 through Friday, November 4 at 4 p.m.

You can drop off your individually-wrapped candy and your notes at any of the Oakland County Sheriff's Office locations, which are listed below. Please do not include chocolate in your donation.
