Truck split in two, but none seriously injured in bad accident on Detroit's west side

Authorities say five people are alive by nothing short of a miracle Wednesday morning after a bad accident on Detroit's northwest side. The collision was so violent that pieces of both vehicles were scatted all over the neighborhood.

The two-car crash happened around 5:45 a.m. at Oakman Boulevard and Dexter Avenue.

In the crash, a white pickup truck was split in two and half of the truck ended up on someone's front lawn. Debris from a black SUV was also scattered along the street.

Five people were taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
