(WJBK) - Closing arguments will be Friday in the April Millsap murder trial. Thirty-four-year-old James VanCallis is accused of murdering, kidnapping and trying to rape the 14-year-old girl from Armada in 2014.

VanCallis is alleged to have hit the girl with his motorcycle helmet then stomped on her neck.
VanCallis did not take the stand in his defense and his attorney did not call any witnesses. His attorneys say there is no evidence tying VanCallis to Millsap's murder.
After closing arguments a jury will decide the case.
