Police: Person left seriously hurt after being run over in downtown Plymouth in hit-and-run accident

Plymouth Police are investigating a hit-and run-accident that has left one person hospitalized with serious injuries.

Police say that on Thursday, May 14 shortly before 6 p.m., officers responded to a hit-and-run personal injury accident that had occurred in downtown Plymouth on Main Street near Penniman Avenue.

Investigators say t
he driver of the suspect vehicle turned from eastbound Penniman onto northbound Main Street and struck a pedestrian in the crosswalk and fled the scene. The victim is currently hospitalized, undergoing treatment after sustaining injuries.

The suspect vehicle is a dark colored 4-door sedan, believed to be a newer model Lincoln with partial plate of, "BD6." There may be damage on the hood and right (drivers) side of the vehicle.

The Plymouth Police are requesting assistance from the public in identifying the involved vehicle or driver. If you have any information regarding this incident, you're asked to call Plymouth Police.
