Police are still working the case and looking to the public for help.
"I was scared for my kids," said a neighbor who did want to be identified. "I wasn't at home so I don't know what happened."
Police believe one of the victims was renovating the home but it's not known if he was living there.
Officers arrived to the scene at about 8 p.m. and found two men ages 63 and 39, shot dead inside the house near the side door.
"It is a terrible thing especially so close to my house," the neighbor said. "They used to be over there working on the house that's all I know."
Police are still investigating a motive but do not believe robbery was a factor in the shootings.
As the investigation continues, this resident says he won't let the shootings scare him into moving out of the neighborhood.
"I'm not going anywhere," he said. "I've been here all my life. I'm not going anywhere."
With the investigation ongoing, if you have any information contact the Detroit Police at (313) 596-5300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
