SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WJBK) - FOX 2's Woody Woodriffe was joined by Pat Caputo & Sean Baligian Sunday night on the SportsWorks roundtable as they started with Philadelphia's Super Bowl upset over New England. The roundtable talked about how it was an offensive shootout and they pointed out that the Eagles showed you can go from worst to first quickly. The crew also talked about Nick Foles and the key throws he made. They also brought up Doug Pederson and his attacking game plan and Matt Patricia and the struggles the Patriots defense had.
The Pistons were next on the rundown and their success so far since Blake Griffin has joined. Pat says Griffin has been terrific so far and has raised interest in the Pistons. Sean talked how Griffin is getting others involved.
College basketball was next up and Michigan State's win at Indiana Saturday night. Sean says if the Spartans don't turn the ball over they can beat anybody, but when they turn it over they struggle. Pat says he still believes they have a chance to win the National Championship this season.
Michigan closed out the show and their comeback win against Minnesota on Saturday. Pat talked about their balance and youth. Sean brought up the fact they can't make free throws and how it's a huge issue.
