Police: Road rage may have led to driver hitting bicyclist in Monroe
MONROE, Mich. (FOX 2) - Police are investigating a possible case of road rage after a man was hit while riding a bicycle in Monroe last week.
According to police, the 21-year-old victim was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of E. Fifth St. and Navarre St. around 3:30 p.m. Jan. 21. The driver fled, but the victim was able to describe the vehicle that hit him, along with people who were inside the vehicle.
Investigators used video footage to identify the vehicle and its owner, and on Saturday, the driver, a 19-year-old man, and passenger, a 18-year-old woman, were both arrested.
Police are seeking felonious assault charges against the suspects.
