Southfield (WJBK) - Having available transportation is more important than ever and one Baltimore-based non-profit is looking to help those in need.
"Vehicles for Change" has made their first expansion to the city of Detroit.
The charity brings with it the goal to help low-income families, The group accepts and repairs donated vehicles then sells them to pre-qualified families.
Cars go for as little as $800.
As long as individuals applying for transportation have a full-time job or job offer, they are eligible for transportation as well as low-interest 12-month car loans.
