3 shot, woman dead after altercation at TGI Fridays in Southfield
On Friday, September 4th, 2026, at approximately 11:25 p.m., the Southfield Police Department responded to a report of shots fired in the parking lot of TGI Fridays, located at 26299 Evergreen Rd. Upon arrival, officers located a 58-year-old female, resident of Inkster, critically wounded from multiple gunshot wounds. She was transported to the hospital and succumbed to her injuries. Officer also located a second victim, a 54-year-old male reside of Detroit, who was shot in the abdomen. He was transported to the hospital and is listed in serious but stable condition. A third victim, a 42-year-old female resident of Evans Georgia was transported to the hospital by friends. She was shot in the upper left shoulder and bicep and is listed in stable condition. A 35-year-old male resident of Southfield, identified as the shooter, has been taken into custody. At this time, there appears to be no additional threat to the public.
