Detroit Jazz Fest preview gives sneak peak of new jazz center at WSU
The new Gretchen C. Valade Jazz Center Wayne State University's campus honors Valade - a woman who fiercely advocated for Jazz in Detroit, according to WSU. Valade, who died at 97 years old in Dec. 2022, donated millions to jazz studies and performance at the university.
