Wimee's One Country, One Book: a national movement to support childhood literacy

Wimage, a Michigan-based children’s education and media company and the creators of Wimee the Robot—a PBS children’s character seen nationwide and on the Michigan Learning Channel—is launching Wimee’s One Country One Book, a national early literacy initiative designed to unite communities around a shared story and put books directly into the hands of children. While the campaign is national in scope, it is intentionally launching in Michigan, where literacy outcomes signal an urgent need for action. The campaign officially launched on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, honoring Dr. King’s belief that education and literacy are fundamental civil rights and essential pathways to equity and opportunity.
