Police investigating triple murder in southwest Detroit
Three men who appeared to be in their 50s were found in the basement of a house in the 3100 block of Edsel Street, who were deceased, DPD said. The victims appear to have been brutally assaulted, DPD Commander Rebecca McKay said.
FOX 2 - Detroit police are at the scene of a triple homicide on the city's southwest side Wednesday.
The backstory:
Three men who appeared to be in their 50s were found in the basement of a house in the 3100 block of Edsel Street, who were deceased, DPD said.
The victims appear to have been brutally assaulted, DPD Commander Rebecca McKay said.
McKay said that police were alerted to a missing persons report, and after arriving were approached by a person who claimed to have been assaulted in a home nearby.
Police went into the home and found the three men inside.
McKay said it was unclear how long the bodies had been there.
"We have not identified any of the individuals at this time," she said, adding that investigators do not know if the missing persons report was connected to any of the victims.
