Body cam video shows an encounter between St. Clair County Sheriff's deputies and a stray dog that started with the dog biting a deputy and ended with the animal being shot and killed. 

The St. Clair County Sheriff's Office is facing scrutiny after a found dog brought to animal control late Saturday was shot and killed. The sheriff's department said the dog was behaving aggressively, while animal rights advocates say the dog was scared and mishandled.

Tuesday, 9:30 in the evening, officers spotted Coil speeding and swerving on Van Dyke. They activated the lights — and Coil took off. Speeds hit up to 80 miles per hour and ended in a crash. Coil got out of the car holding his son — police smelled alcohol and saw open containers.

According to officials, 25-year-old Antoine Paige Jr. got into an argument with his cousin and her boyfriend, followed them out to their car, and fired multiple rounds, striking the woman in the shoulder. Police arrived, and Paige took off.
