Higher Hopes feeding 1,000 families in Detroit
Higher Hopes! is celebrating ten years of feeding 1,000 families in Detroit a complete Thanksgiving meal plus desserts and treats. These meals feed up to 12 people. WE've done this story before, but this year is special as this is the 10th anniversary. That means that 10,000 meals have been given out, which fed 100,000 people. That's a lot of food. This doesn't even count the Labor feast the group gives away and the non-perishable food it gives away weekly to school kids so they come to school on Monday ready to learn.
