Michigan's 1st hip-hop landmark: Def Sound Studio

Once an ordinary home, transformed into a beacon for hip-hop, is receiving a historic designation from the city. Def Sound Studio was one of the only Detroit locations rappers could record hip-hop in the 80s - as they were considered "dangerous," said owner Jerry Flynn Dale.
