State judge blocks ban on flavored e-cigarette flavors, Whitmer plans to take the ruling to Supreme Court
After less than a month of the ban, a Court of Claims judge has issued a temporary injunction blocking the directive. Because the ban could potentially push kids and other smokers to pick up cigarette smoking, Gov. Whitmer's ban was stayed. The lawsuit, originally coming from a vape shop business in the upper peninsula, was filed on Sept. 27. Whitmer plans on taking the ruling directly to the Supreme Court for a quick and final judgment.
