Capuchin Soup Kitchen holds 45th annual SOCK fundraiser 10/27
(WJBK) - The Capuchin Soup Kitchen has been working for nearly 90 years to help those in need and next week, you can help continue them continue the mission at the annual fundraiser.
The SOCK (Support Our Capuchin Kitchen) fundraiser takes place from 5:30 - 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27 at Cobo Center's Grand Riverview Ballroom, followed by an Afterglow, 9 p.m. - 12:30 a.m.
This year's dinner will be chaired and hosted by John C. Carter, region manager for Chase's Middle Market Commercial Banking business in Michigan.
The online auction is open to the general public so everyone can participate. Many of the over 100 silent auction items are one of a kind. You can view the silent auction now by going to CSKDetroit.org/sock. Online bidding starts October 20.
Tickets for the SOCK event are available at $250 per person and can be purchased by calling (313) 579.2100, ext. 153 or ordering online at www.cskdetroit.org/sock
Those attending are asked to bring a new pair of socks to the SOCK event. A donation bin will be onsite to collect warm socks which will be distributed to those in need. All sizes are needed.
