Officials with the Detroit Animal Care and Control and the Paws for Life Animal Rescue are teaming up for a special adoption event from 12-4 p.m. at Dodge Park in Sterling Heights. Admission is $12 per adult )kids and dogs are free!) and includes goodie bags, picnic lunch, dog games, family-friendly entertainment and a raffle and silent auction.
Paws for Life Executive Director Courtney Protz-Sanders said their shelter is full beyond capacity dropped by the Fox2 Studios and is offering $20 adoptions throughout the month to help alleviate the situation.
She dropped by the Fox2 News Studios Sunday morning with "Finn" one of her favorite furry friends that's looking for a new home.
