Andrew Dost performing at the Detroit Music Awards April 29

The Detroit Music Awards will celebrate its 25th anniversary on Friday, April 29 at the Fillmore Detroit by recognizing metro area musicians' achievements and honoring three esteemed music industry veterans for their career work.

Multi-platinum superstar Kid Rock, award-winning composer and producer Dan Yessian and Motown Records' late founding press officer and publicist Al Abrams will receive Distinguished Achievement Awards during the ceremony. Doors open at 6pm, and ages 18+ are welcome to attend.

Musician Andrew Dost will be performing at the ceremony. You know his from the band Fun. and he's written songs such as "We Are Young."

Then, hear from Victoria Reed, who will also be performing at the awards. Then, composer and producer Dan Yessian also joined us on The Nine to perform some of his well-known jingles.
