Spring break is here and that means that prom season is also fast approaching. Not everyone in the Metro Detroit area can have their dream dress, but a local donation program is working to change that on April 13 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Boys and Girls Club, located at 16500 Tireman in Detroit.
Dresses and accessories will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
Alisha Bell, chairwoman of the Wayne County Commission, stopped by the Fox2 News studios Saturday morning to discuss the program, which is now in its 12th year.
