Michigan Humane Society reminds owners of the importance of pet identification

It's estimated one in three pets will become lost at some point in their lifetime. The Michigan Humane Society reminds owners that up-to-date identification is critical for cats and dogs. That identification can be in the form of an ID tag, license and microchip. The warmer spring weather always brings an increase in lost pets. If a lost pet is wearing a collar and ID tag, they are more likely to be found and returned. This week's pet is "Lady" an 8-year old Chihuahua mix and is available for adoption at the Michigan Humane Society Rochester Hills Center for Animal Care. For information call 248-852-7420.
