'Presenting Princess Shaw' documents struggling artist's dream come true

(WJBK) - The documentary "Presenting Princess Shaw" tells the story of a struggling New Orleans singer songwriter, Samantha Montgomery, and how she became an internet sensation after a vocal track she posted online was discovered by a music producer in Israel. The documentary takes a look at the social connection and how powerful sites like YouTube can be.

The film is screening Wednesday, June 8 at the Michigan Theater in Ann Arbor, and Saturday, June 11 at the State Theatre in Ann Arbor.
