"The Grapes of Wrath"

Michigan Opera Theatre will present "The Grapes of Wrath," a modern opera based on the John Steinbeck novel. 

The opera is considered a Great American Opera, with a distinctly American story and music inspired by musical theater, folk songs and the time 1930s time period. It has themes of social injustice corporate greed, themes poignant in modern society.


The opera is sung in English with English supertitles projected above the stage. MOT will offer a free opera talk one hour before the performance.
