FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. (WJBK) - A 22-year-old was shot and killed at the Retreat Apartments of Farmington Hills on Middle Belt Monday.
Police say Alex Ward was hunted down and assassinated. Police say evidence points to three suspects - Jamir Gray, 20, Maleek Williams, 20 and Steven Davis, 19.
All three Detroit men have been charged with open murder. Farmington Hills police stopped their car speeding away from the crime scene right after 911 calls came in.
Police say Ward and another man were inside but the shots came from outside - roughly 30 shell casings. The other victim survived but Ward died at an area hospital.
Williams pled not guilty but has a lengthy criminal history according to prosecutors and was just released from federal custody on Oct. 2nd
Bond was denied for all three men. They will be back in court on Oct. 31st.
