Police say argument may have sparked gunfire that hurt 8-year-old boy in Detroit

Detroit police say an 8-year-old is among those hurt in a double shooting on Memorial Day on Detroit's east side.

Police say a man in a gold sedan pulled up next to the victims' car, a GMC Arcadia, and fired multiple shots into the vehicle.

Police say a 28-year-old man was also hurt. Police say the 8-year-old is a relative but didn't specify.

Both of them were taken privately to the hospital. The boy is stable but the 28-year-old is in temporary serious condition.

Police say prior to the shooting, a 31-year-old man who was also in the car with the victims allegedly got into a fight with the suspect in the parking lot.
