Boy recovered from Detroit River, went under while swimming at Belle Isle

(WJBK) - Metro South Troopers assigned to Belle Isle were contacted in regards to a person that had gone under the water and not resurfaced. 

Troopers responded to the scene, where a teen around 16, but whose age has not been confirmed was pulled from the water.

Its reported that the male child was playing with other kids at the beach and went under water and did not resurface. 

The teen was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. Police confirmed that the teen has a good heartbeat and blood pressure but is currently on a ventilator.
