On Tuesday for the first time ever, scientists at NASA will get a photographic view of the dwarf planet Pluto.
The New Horizon spacecraft which is about the size of a grand piano will travel within 8000 miles of the dwarf planet early Tuesday morning.
The mission is simple: collect pictures of the frozen former planet for the very first time EVER!
The spacecraft has traveled more than 3 billion miles, the most of any space mission in history.
It is expected to reach Pluto at 7:50 a.m. Tuesday morning.
Walter Charuba, an educator of the New Horizon project sat down with Fox 2 to explain more of the spacecraft and the mission.
