DTE energy say about 40,000 customers are without power due to wind and heavy snowfall metro Detroit received Saturday night.
The hardest hit areas according to DTE seem to be western Wayne County and the Ann Arbor area.
DTE says that crews have been working non-stop and will continue until all of its customers have their power restored.
