Eastbound I-96 ramp closed at M-39 due to dangling car off ramp

According to Michigan State Police Lt. Michael Shaw the person landed on the ramp onto I-96 below in what was a suspected suicide attempt.

It is not clear what condition the person is in, they were seen still moving and transported by ambulance to a hospital.

Shortly after 9:30 p.m., a Dodge Caliber crashed on the eastbound ramp to I-96 from northbound Southfield.

It is not clear if the person was ejected from the vehicle or jumped.

The Michigan Department of Transportation has confirmed that the ramp is closed.
