Fatal Port Huron crash dash cam released; victim identified

Port Huron police have released dash cam video of the fatal crash that killed one person and injured four others.

Investigators have also revealed that all four injured suspects in the fleeing white Camaro which sped away from police attempting a traffic stop had criminal violations on their records. There was also a stolen loaded handgun found inside the car as well.

The crash happened Monday when a police car tried to pull over the speeding Camaro which exceeded speeds of 100 miles per hour. Police pursued until the short chase ended with the car hitting another vehicle after running a red light at 24 Street at Dove.

 In the dash cam the crash happens in the distance, as the Camaro hit three cars, one of which carrying 48-year-old Kristine Donahue from Chesterfield Township, who was killed.

Police have released the condition and police violations of each person inside the suspect vehicle. In the report it said:

1. Driver - a 35-year-old female from Port Huron remains in critical, but stable condition at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. The driver was operating the vehicle with an expired license.
 
2. Passenger - a 21-year-old male from Port Huron remains in very critical condition at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. Investigation has revealed that this individual has a misdemeanor warrant for failing to appear -- original charge -- malicious destruction of property for his arrest through the Sanilac County Sheriff Office. 

3. Passenger - a 33-year-old male from Port Huron remains in critical condition at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. The investigation has revealed that this male has a criminal bench warrant for failing to appear -- original charge -- driving while license suspended, second offense for his arrest thru the Port Huron Police Department. 

4. Passenger - a 31-year old-male from Port Huron remains in critical condition at McLaren Hospital in Macomb. The investigation has revealed that this person has a parole violation warrant for parole

The loaded handgun was reported stolen from a residence in Port Huron in March 2018. After the investigation concludes, the case will be sent to the prosecutor’s office to determine charges.
