Domestic violence continues to be a growing problem in Metro Detroit and a challenge for police and prosecutors that build cases -- once they know about an incident or series of incidents that signal abuse.
Statistics show that only one in five women injured during a domestic violence incident seek medical treatment, and roughly half of all incidents go unreported.
A panel of experts including a local judge, a domestic violence police investigator, a domestic violence survivor and other advocates explored why and discussed the issues surrounding domestic violence Sunday morning on Let It Rip Weekend.
