Livonia gun range holds free CPL class for teachers

Hot topic these days are guns in schools, It’s an issue that'll go before the state Supreme Court this week.

In Livonia, the instructors at Detroit Gun Range offered a free concealed weapon class to teachers and faculty.

A lot of teachers and other school employees took them up on the offer.

I have this desire to protect myself if anything should arise, I don't expect anything to come of it but if the situation comes down with it and I need to do something to defend myself and my family I want to know I’m capable," Christopher Collins said.

"I think teachers should be armed, I think honestly every should be the way the world is, and I feel like everyone should feel safe, and personally I think people will feel safe with a firearm," Spencer Wong said.

Detroit Gun Range owners say they'll be holding another free class in May or June.
