DETROIT (WJBK) - The man who accepted a plea deal for murdering his wife will serve 45-80 years in prison. Twenty-nine-year-old Erin Justice pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the death of Alycia Fox, allowing him to bypass the trial.
Fox's body was discovered in a vacant house back in June of 2014. Around the same time, her two children also went missing, 6-year-old Kaylah Hunter and 8-month-old Kristian Justice. Neither child has been seen since despite several search efforts from loved ones.
"My family and I have suffered due to my daughter's death and the disappearance of my grandchildren," Fox's mother, Travae Fox, said at sentencing. As she spoke, Erin sat emotionless. "Alycia gave him a beautiful son and connect[ed] him with a beautiful family unit, and in return he stole life from the very person that shared and hoped for a lifetime with him," Travae continued.
Erin is also spending two years in prison for a felonious weapons charge. He will be eventually eligible for parole.
