Michigan Black Caucus Calls for DPS Emergency Manager to be Terminated

Lansing, MI - Some state lawmakers are calling for the termination of Detroit Public Schools' emergency manager  Darnell Earley.

State Senator Morris Hood III and the Michigan Legislative Black Caucus are calling on Governor Rick Snyder to remove Earley from his post.

Earley was the Emergency Manager in Flint when the switch was made to the Flint River as a water source.

The switch was okayed under the previous Emergency Manager. On Wednesday, Earley will appear in Washington before a Congressional Committee.
