Update: Amber Alert canceled for two southwest Michigan girls abducted by dad

Alez Perez is believed to have abducted his two children.

An Amber Alert has been canceled for two children from southwest Michigan.

Michigan State Police say 4-year-old Nova Perez and her sister 3-year-old Luna Perez are from Coloma, Mich. in Berrien County and were found safe Friday morning in Colorado.

Police believe their father, 24-year-old Alex Perez abducted them and were concerned about their safety because he is currently under investigation for a double homicide.

He may have been driving a tan 2003 Chevrolet Impala with the Michigan license plate AYY-708.

Alex Perez is 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs 135 pounds, is Hispanic with brown hair and black eyes. Both children are described as Hispanic with brown hair and black eyes.
