Woman stabbed in neck during argument outside Detroit liquor store

Detroit Police are investigating after a woman was stabbed in the neck Sunday evening. She was critically injured and is in the hospital right now.

Police say the incident began around 8 p.m. Sunday outside the Flamingo Liquor Store, which is on Joy Road near Dexter Avenue. Two women had gotten into an argument.

Then police say, the confrontation moved about a block up the road and one of the women pulled out a kitchen knife and stabbed the over woman in the neck.

Police don't have much information about the suspect at this time, but say the two apparently knew each other. They say the victim is 34 years old.
