(WJBK) - Major League Baseball has suspended Miguel Cabrera seven games for his part in the Yankees brawl from the Tigers wild 10-6 win Thursday.
Alex Wilson has been suspended four games and Tigers Manager Brad Ausmus suspended one game.
Yankees catcher Gary Sanchez, who grappled with Cabrera, was hit with a four game suspension while Austin Romine received two games.
Most suprising was that Yankees reliever Dellin Betances was not suspended or fined for striking Tigers catcher James McCann in the head with a pitch.
Eight players were tossed in the game which featured three bench-clearing altercations, one beaning and tension - even in the dugout where Justin Verlander and Victor Martinez were caught on camera in some type of dispute.
Receiving undisclosed fines were Yankees Manager Joe Girardi, Yankees bench/acting manager Rob Thomson, Yankees outfielder Brett Gardner, Yankees pitcher Tommy Kahnle, and Tigers shortstop Jose Iglesias.
Yankees first baseman Garrett Cooper and outfielder Clint Frazier received fines for entering the field while bring on the disabled list.
It is the final time the Yankees and Tigers are scheduled to play this season.
