The Detroit Tigers have traded reliever Joakim Soria to the Pittsburgh Pirates for a prospect.

Various reports have said the minor leaguer is JaCoby Jones, a Double-AA outfielder/shortstop.

Fox Sports's Jon Paul Morosi confirmed the deal at about 6:30 p.m.

Soria is 3-1 with a 2.85 ERA and 23 saves this season.

The move comes on the heels of the Tigers trading pitcher David Price to the Toronto Blue Jays.

Price was traded for left-handed pitchers Daniel Norris, Matt Boyd and Jairo Lambert.

Norris is considered a top-20 prospect and is slated to start Sunday afternoon against the Baltimore Orioles.
