First Annual Resource Party in Detroit ? Bridging the Gap Between Community and Resources
Saturday, July 13, will be Take My Hand's First Annual Resource Party ? a free community event dedicated to connecting Detroit families with essential resources. This event is more than a gathering ? it?s a movement to connect, uplift, and empower. With over 30 resource vendors on-site, attendees can access free clothing, hygiene kits, food, health screenings, lead testing, and much more. The day will also be packed with family-friendly fun, including a live DJ, face painting, bounce houses, and raffles featuring exciting giveaways like lawn care services, hairstyles, and nail treatments. Bre Teamer sits down with Letitia Russell, founder of Take My Hand and the visionary behind this event, to talk about the inspiration, goals, and impact of the Resource Party.
