Metro Detroit weather: Cold front causes temps to dip Wednesday
Cooler start to the day after temps dip
Metro Detroit is waking up to a big temperature shift Wednesday morning. Alan Longstreet has what to expect for the rest of the week.
DETROIT (FOX 2) - Happy April! It’s the last month we average snow around here, though not much.
No snow today, though it'll be far from warm with a cold front hanging south of us.
Most of us stay dry, with lingering rain mainly confined to Monroe and Lenawee counties.
Severe storm outlook
Rain with embedded storms moves in on Thursday morning, and another storm chance returns Thursday evening. The severe threat looks low for now, but it’s still worth watching, with the Storm prediction Center placing parts of the area in Marginal and Slight Risk, levels 1 and 2 out of 5.
Tigers Opening Day weather
A few showers may linger Thursday night into Friday morning, but dry weather should take over later Friday.
And 70s for the Tigers Home Opener, that’s a pretty great way to end the week.
