(WJBK) - Much of the Midwest has been in a deep freeze the past few days. Adam Helfman, a home improvement expert from HireItDown.com joined us on The Nine with some tips to keep your pipes from freezing during this cold snap.

  • Keep the heat on
  • Let your faucets drip slightly
  • Keep interior doors open
  • Seal up cracks and holes
  • Apply heating tape
  • Add extra insulation
