Ashe Supply Co. downtown offering more than handcrafted coffee

DETROIT (WJBK) - A new coffee shop in downtown Detroit combines the art of handcrafted coffee and handcrafted goods. Co-founder A.J. Nichols hails it a handcrafted lifestyle brand.

"You might come in for the art only and bump into someone who came in for coffee only and you network in an uncommon space, and that was the idea to create that brand and that mentality," he says.

He adds this is a place that's meant for the community and it's a spot everyone is welcome in, whether you're a businessman in suit or just coming in to hang out.

"There's a palate for every coffee and there's a coffee for every palate. If you come in here and we pour you some amazing coffee that we took a lot of time on and you still want cream and sugar, that's cool. It works for us," Nichols says. "We're all about everybody. We want to educate you on why we do what we do, but everybody still has a way they do things they do."
