City Connect Detroit Promotes Youth Employment and Training Programs

With an increased emphasis on expanding youth employment and training programs in Detroit, officials with City Connect Detroit have never been as busy as they are now.

The organization has built a system of finding youth ages 14-24 paid summer jobs over the past eight years with the help of nearly $20 million from private donors.

Dierk Hall, CEO of City Connect Detroit, dropped by the Fox2 Studios Sunday morning to discuss barriers facing youth hiring in Detroit and what it takes to get employers involved in the program.
