Defeat the Label's 'Bullying is No Joke' Comedy Event

October is National Bullying Prevention Month, and local activists are turning to a little comedy to make a big difference.

Defeat the Label presents it's third annual Community Conversation on Bullying, an open-forum style discussion on anti-bullying awareness on Friday, Oct. 26 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Oakland Schools building at 2111 Pontiac Lake Rd. in Waterford. Tickets are $25. 

The following night, the organization will host 'Bullying is No Joke' event - an evening of comedy in support of anti-bullying, hosted by Saturday Night Live's and recent Emmy's Host Colin Jost, in conjunction with Funny or Die. This evening of laughter will kick-start at 8 p.m. with doors opening at 7p.m. at the Flagstar Strand Theatre for the Performing Arts at 12 N. Saginaw St. Tickets start at $49.50.

Defeat the Label Executive Director Jamie Greene and emcee Kevin Epling dropped by the Fox2 News studios Saturday morning to preview the events.
