Detroit Derby Girls celebrating 10th anniversary
(WJBK) - The Detroit Derby Girls are celebrating their tenth anniversary with two big games this weekend and the theme is love -- love for derby and love for dogs.
The girls have a double header with four home teams facing off against each other. The doors open at 5:00pm with skaters taking to the track at 6:00pm for the first game. The second bout will begin at 8:00pm. Tickets are available online at www.brownpapertickets.com for $15. You can also buy them at the Masonic for $18 the day of the event. The Detroit Masonic Temple is located at 500 Temple Street in Detroit.
This weekend's focused charity is Pretties for Pitties, which is a group of Pinups and local pit bull lovers looking to educate, advocate, and spread awareness for bully and large breed dogs, and offer community outreach and training.
