(WJBK) - Jazz guitarist Bobby Murray and his band will be at the Detroit Music Awards this Friday.
The 27th Annual Detroit Music Awards take place on May 4 at the Fillmore. Doors open at 6 p.m., and ages 18+ can attend.
According to the event: "The ceremony will feature performances by the five original members of Sponge® -- celebrating their gold-certified debut album "Rotting Pinata" and playing together for the first time since 1994 -- Davis, rapper Kash Doll, folk-rockers Frontier Ruckus, the electro-soul troupe Liquid Monk, an Assemble Sound Residency with SYBLYNG & Guests, and the soul-flavored pop of Virginia Violet & the Rays. The show will also feature a special appearance by 80s hip-hop hit-makers Maroon."
