Downriver for Veterans raises money to buy van to help veterans get to the doctor

(WJBK) - An organization that works to improve the lives of those who fought for our freedom got a special donation.

Downriver for Veterans "serves those who served," and provides assistance to veterans in the Downriver communities south of Detroit and north of Monroe. On Wednesday, they got a new van to help veterans get around the area and get to doctors appointments. 

Downriver for Veterans worked to raise money for those veterans and got help finding their ride from SellYourRides.com.
