Flower Day at Detroit's Eastern Market

Unseasonably cold weather and an occasional snow shower didn't deter the crowds from converging on at Eastern Market for the annual Flower Day festivities.

Thousands from around Metro Detroit brought their wagons and plans to update or refresh their outdoor decor with the wide range of perennials, herbs, shrubs and event trees available for sale at affordable prices. As in past years, members of the Metropolitan Detroit Flower Growers Association filled roughly 15 acres of space with their finest creations, and ideas to help patrons' local gardens thrive.

The Fox2 News Sunday team was broadcasting from the market all morning long and introduced the community to the people responsible for making Flower Day a 50 year tradition.
