Girl Scouts Cookie Gala March 28

You can experience Girl Scout cookies like you've never seen or tasted before at the Girl Scouts of Southeastern Michigan's 16th Annual Cookie Gala.

The Cookie Gala is Wednesday, March 28 at 6 p.m. at the MGM Grand Hotel Ballroom. Eight of Detroit area's finest bakers and chefs will compete against each other using a designated Girl Scout cookie as the main ingredient in their dessert.

Marc Berke from the Girl Scouts of Southeastern Michigan joined us on The Nine ahead of the competition to tell us more. He's joined by Executive Chef Justin Samueloff from Granite City Food & Brewery, one of those competing in the Cookie Gala.

You can hear from them in the video player above, and watch as Justin prepares a stout peanut butter moose pie with a Do-si-do Buttered Crust. This story will be updated to include the recipe.

Tickets for the Cookie Gala are $100/person. To order tickets, become a sponsor, or for additional information, please visit gssem.org/cookiegala or contact Jeni Carino at 313-870-2545 or jcarino@gssem.org.
