Gown Town Offers Dresses for Those in Need

Prom season is almost here and those suffering from sticker shock while dress shopping will have an alternative to consider on Sunday.

Girls that need a prom dress but can't necessarily afford one should stop by Gown Town from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Oakland Mall in Troy. They'll have the opportunity to choose a gown donated by residents throughout the Metro Detroit area -- and keep them -- for free as part of a unique program.

Julia Lepidi, the Nightshow host on CBS Radio/98.7 AMP Radio Detroit, dropped by the Fox2 Studios Saturday morning to preview the event and brought a few models to show off the inventory.
